Wyong Council has outlined a $340 million budget in its draft strategic plan.
The plan is currently up for exhibition and outlines a total of $100 million in capital spending and $240 million for community services.
Wyong mayor Doug Eaton says it is a record breaking haul.
“100 million in our capital budget, 340 in our total budget, this is our largest capital spend ever,” he said.
“Most of that 100-million will go into roads, around 30-million for our roads.”
Other major sources of spending will be around $10 million for an art house, up to $7 million for the Lakehaven cinemas and around $2 million for the Norah Head boat ramp.
Councillor Eaton says the money has come from a number of sources including the additional rate rise approved by the Independent Pricing and Regulatory Tribunal.
Luck for you if you are living in the Wyong Local Council..
